Hello

I am from the suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I went to Milwaukee Lutheran High School where I was Student Body President and Valedictorian. I have vacationed in Estero my whole life, so FGCU felt like the natural choice. I decided to come to FGCU because it was an affordable medium-sized school, and I saw areas for me to create my own collegiate path. 

I have had a unique experience at FGCU because of my utilization of the opportunities of the Honors College and my desire to improve the organizations I enjoy. Among these pages, you will see several of the projects I have participated in - many I helped create and coordinate.

Some of my most noteworthy experiences - the Honors Immokalee Immersion Trips, Global Medical Brigades, the Campus Cancer Campaign, The Millenium Fellowship, and Immokalee Medical Brigade - have come from my connections with the Honors College.

My Honors Mentor, Matt, connected me with community engagement by inviting me on the Honors Immokalee Immersion Trip. On the trip, I got to serve alongside Global Medical Brigade Members at a health screening clinic. I joined the organization and fell in love with the mission. I now serve as President, planning local service events and a week-long health screening clinic in Panama.

I have made connections with students and faculty across clubs and organizations, allowing me to help expand the reach of my organization. Some advice I share with my mentees is to join organizations that interest them and connect with fellow students with common interests. The connections I have made with other motivated students have helped make the events that I run a success because of their support and advice.
